“Living Water” is an experimental novel about the nature of life and the time of the most important Brazilian writer of the twentieth century Clarisi Lector, written in the form of an improvisational poetic monologue, in which the picturesque, musical and tactile properties of the text are the first. The unconventional depth, sensuality and the desire for universality do not allow to give prose the lipper unambiguous genre definitions, carrying the reader with witchcraft, demiurgic vortex in the world of synesthesia, bare existence between animals, plant and human.
Clarisi Lector (1920-1977) - Brazilian writer. Born in a Jewish family in the town of Chechelnik in modern Ukraine, the family emigrated to Brazil in 1922. She studied at the Faculty of Law, was engaged in journalism and translations. In the 1940-1950s, she lived in Europe and the USA, where her husband was in the diplomatic service. Author of many novels, collections of stories, books for children. She was awarded the Order of Cultural Merit for an outstanding contribution to Brazil’s literature, where her books are included in the school curriculum
