The training manual provides information on the land resources of the world, the Russian Federation and their condition. The deterioration of land fertility in connection with their degradation was noted. It is shown that the strengthening of anthropogenic effects on land resources increases the area of lands subject to erosion, acidification, dehumification, salinity, loss of the main component of fertility - humus. In addition, there is an increase in the seizure of land space, including arable land for the needs of industry, construction, storage of production and everyday life, laying pipelines for various purposes, etc. One of the methods of improving their condition, increasing the fertility of land is the use of various types of reclamation. The role of the state cadastre in the assessment of land and land management was noted, which plays a significant role in increasing the fertility of agricultural lands and their protection. It is proposed to be a radiation in the rational use of lands associated with the reclamation of the Earth, the reproduction of their fertility. It is proposed to proceed to the reproduction of the fertility of agricultural soils by introducing alternative agriculture. Legislative acts on land protection and their rational use are indicated.
