First published in 1818, the novel "The arguments of reason" was the last work of Jane Osten. The action takes place in the county of Somerset and in the bat.
In the center of the plot is the failed engagement of Anne with Captain Frederick Wantworth, a sailor whom Anne met and fell in love when she was 19 years old. Then Wentworth was considered an inappropriate party because of his poverty, and Anne was forced to break the relationship. And eight years later they meet again. By this time, Captain Wentort got rich in the Navy, and now for many he is an attractive "prey". How will their relationship develop now?
"The arguments of reason" will delight any reader with thinly drawn characters, a light satire and charming reconstruction of the world of English rural areas of the 19th century
