Ida Fink (1921-2011) was born in a zbarage, a provincial city on the eastern outskirts of Poland (now Ukraine) In 1942, she fled with her sister from the ghetto and hid until the end of the war. From 1957 to death (2011) I lived in Israel.

The only author who writes not in Hebrew, awarded the Literary Prize of Israel in the field of prose (2008) The name Fink is included in the list of the hundred most important Jewish authors (National Yiddish Book Center in New York) Laureate of the Institute Prize Yad Vashem (1995).
