The book discusses the physico chemical properties of soils responsible for their pollution as a result of human activity, and mechanisms for pollution of ground and surface water. The distribution of pollutants between the soil fractions and their movement along the soil profile in soil water, as well as modern methods for assessing the probability of pollution in ground water, have been considered. The foundations of modern biological, physico chemical and thermal methods of soil restoration and soil water are presented.
