The collection also includes the famous Sonet cycle and the wedding song of Spencer - "Amoretti & Epithalamion". Many generations of readers, students and scientists admire the refined Spencer language, its inexhaustible fantasy, virtuoso skill and its huge knowledge in the field of classical literature and religion, a subtle understanding of moral and political philosophy, unmistakable ability to synthesize all this, in the end, to delight. To convey in Russian the beauty and philosophical significance of Spencer’s poetry is the task of this publication. "
