Remote (aerospace) methods of comprehensive assessment of forest resources. Tutorial

The textbook is written in accordance with the program of the course "Aerospace methods in the forest business", which is part of the preparation of bachelors in the direction of the Forestry. In addition to the general section, the manual concerns the study and assessment of the resource value of all the components of the landscape: geological foundation, maternal rocks, soils, relief and vegetation cover in certain climatic conditions. Information is given about the properties and classifications of these components of the natural environment, methods and effectiveness of their recognition based on remote sensing materials. The manual discusses important areas of applied cosmonautics and aerial photography dedicated to solving the problems of forestry and nature protection.
A distinctive feature of the manual is a combination of data on natural resources, their characteristics and significance with basic information about distance methods of studying and evaluating these resources.
As additional material, the allowance can be used in the development of disciplines of forestry profile, as well as for training in magistrates programs
