The training manual provides the concept of feed production as a scientific discipline, its significance for the livestock and agriculture industry as a whole, is the analysis of the state and prospects for the development of feed production in the Central Black Earth Region. The issues of the classification and nutritional power of the feed are considered. The feed virtues of crops cultivated in the region on arable land are given: grain-forage, grain-combat, root and tuber, melon, silo and low-raised fodder crops, annual and perennial herbs. Their morphobiological features are identified by the use of food, the features of the technology of cultivating the most important feed crops of the region. Much attention is paid to new technologies for the harvesting and storage of feed, methods, accounting and evaluating their quality. The features of the planning of green and raw materials in the region are considered. The additional source of obtaining cheap and high -quality feed in the region is hayfields and pastures
