Features of natural recreational resources, types and forms of forest recreation are presented, the multi -purpose use of recreational forests, their environmental condition and social and environmental aspects of recreational forest use and inventory are revealed. The purpose and objectives of recreational forestry, methods and units of measurement of recreational loads on forest ecosystems are formulated. Landscaping and leadership measures in recreational forests are substantiated, systems of forestry and biotechnical measures are given, methods of creating favorable conditions for resting the population in the forest. The issues of educational activities and the need to develop a recreational cadastre of forest resources are considered.
