This collection includes two significant works of Camus.
“rebellious man” - an essay written at the junction of literary criticism and philosophy. One of the main ideas of the Camus, which was based on his writer and philosophical existentialist concept, is the idea of a rebellion. A rebellion, albeit three times doomed to failure, but encouraging a person who wants to control his fate, to fight against the laws of society. A meaningful life, according to Camus, is impossible without struggle, how impossible the struggle without the will to freedom, again and again pursuing us “damned” issues of being.
“The myth of Sisyphus” is a philosophical essay in which the author represents a meaningless and endless Sisyphus"s work as a metaphor for modern society. Why do we work every day? Who needs it? A daily trip to the service is the same in essence absurd work, as well as a constant attempt to raise a stone into the mountain, with which it will still slide down
