The autobiographical novel of the German writer and screenwriter Ernst von Zalomon "Ankta" was published in 1951 and immediately gained immense popularity in the post -war Germany. On the pages of the book written in the form of answers deployed to the romance volume to the standardized questions of the occupation questionnaire for denacification, the author turns to the experience he made from the American camp for interned. An attempt to accommodate a living person with his internal contradictions and a complex individual story into the bureaucratic framework reveals all his absurdity under the pen of Zalomon. Five decades of German history and the main political trends of the century, which subjugated the fate of a person of a ruthless game of political forces, are subjected to critical rethinking in the novel
