The history of world literature does not know so many genuine masters of a short story. Among them are such illustrious names as Anton Chekhov, Akutagawa Runosk, Orasio Kiroga, Saki, Stephen King. William Sidney Porter, who elected the literary pseudonym O. Henry (1862-1910), is also ranked here.
