“Overwhelmed by joy” and “exploring the grief” - very deep personal works of Lewis, which he was written in the hope that his experience will become a guiding lighthouse for those who have lost or desperate.
His severity is kinder than our softness, and forcing us, he will grant us freedom. This truth was discovered by Lewis after long years of fierce atheism. Believing that his experience can be useful to someone, he decided to write a brief, but “depressingly frank” outline of his life, dwelling on significant events that led him from complete denial to the simple and clear understanding of God.
