The book consists of five chapters. The first chapter of the training manual provides information about round timber, their classification, accounting, measurement of diameters, sorting by scanning on an automatic line. The vices of wood, the variety -forming vices of round timber are considered. The second chapter discusses the transport machines of the sawmill workshop: tape transporters, chain longitudinal logs, scraper, transverse chain for moving chips and sawdust, roller conveyors. Descriptions of the designs of the fictitious logs, transfers, carts and wedging knives are given. The third chapter shows the machines and tools of the sawmill: sawmill frames of one- and two-story, vertical and horizontal tape machines. Information about the posts, the rules for their preparation are given. Lumber, types and marriage are considered. The cutting tools of the sawmill workshop were considered, the installation drank into a saw frame. In the fourth chapter, the streaming lines of sawmills are considered using sawmills, milling and round -fingered machines as head machines of sawmills. The fifth chapter discusses the principles of optimization of sawmill.
