October 23, 2018. The sleepy port of Alheesiras, the roaring waters of Gibraltar, the rainy Spanish Andalusia. Two men of about fifty years, slightly beaten by life, give out rare passengers and meetings. Our friends are called Maurice
Hirn (tall and foul) and Charlie Redmond (full and stocky), and they are Irish gangsters, who once built a huge drug imperial, but lost it for years later. They found themselves in Alkheisiras by chance, rumors conveyed joyful news to Maurice: it was today, October 23, on the steamer following in Tangier or back, his daughter Dilly, who disappeared three years ago. Charlie helps his friend - he distributes leaflets with her image and ties conversations with strangers to help them find the girl.
The events of the past are strung on endless conversations, like beads. Even if the reader does not understand anything in the Irish, Dragfix and the Spanish -Marorkan ports, he will follow with interest the conversations of Maurice and Charlie, their achievements and failures and will certainly sympathize with Dilie, the daughter of Maurice, who disappeared without a trace three years ago.
