It does not happen to extract from the non -existence of anyone in the world the not -known short stories of Marseille Proust (1871-1922), one of the brightest writers of the 20th century, the author of the epic "in search of lost time" - the literary monument of France, the object of world cultural heritage. The texts were discovered in the Bernard de Fallois Foundation transferred to the French National Library, the discoverer of the early Proust, literary critic and publisher, who died in January 2018. They need a small historical clarification that the reader will draw from the preface and notes of the professor of Strasbourg University Luke Frasse, one of the most authoritative researchers of Prust"s work.
There are unique texts in front of us - Proust unknown to the reader is revealed in them. Proust-do-prosta, then still a novice writer. In the late 90s of the XIX century, he writes short short stories and develops the topics of the future epic novel "in search of lost time." In many of them, Proust speaks of homosexuality and female sexuality, which in the era of Proust in itself could provoke a scandal, especially in a family circle or in secular society. Obviously, for their time, the novels were too multi -speaking, too scandalous, which is why the young writer decided to conceal them without saying anywhere about their existence. But he had the need to write them. In these texts, a personal diary shines through, which the writer did not entrust anyone to anyone.
Novels are published for the first time in Russian in translation and with comments by Sergey Fokin
