Clarissa Dalloway, a secular lady of fifty years old, is preparing for a reception that organizes at home. In the morning she leaves the house for flowers, she loves them very much, it is necessary to decorate the house with them in the evening. Walking along London, she recalls her youth, first love. In another area of London, Septimus Warren Smith, a veteran of the First World War, suffering from concussion, goes with his wife Lucretia to an appointment with a psychiatrist.
