The training manual discusses the creation and research of the layout of special wheel drivers of the traction class 6 KN, 9 KN, 14 KN and 30 KN with a hinge frame. The training manual sets out a methodology and data is given for calculating the loading of the chassis and analysis of the distribution of loads along the leading bridges of tractors. In accordance with GOST 26953-86, GOST 26955-86 and GOST 51629-2000, a methodology for evaluating the compliance of the chassis system of the wheeled tractors with normalized forestry requirements is set out. The study of the layout of forest wheeled tractors involves a large amount of calculated work. To accelerate research, the MathCAD calculation system is proposed to help students.
