"Macbeth" is the tragedy of William Shakespeare in five acts.
Three witches prophesy McBet to become the king of Scotland, and Banko to be the ancestor of the whole dynasty of kings. The insatiable thirst for power pushes McBet to give up a conscience for the sake of the throne, and Lady Macbeth decides to kill ... After all, the prophecies should come true at all costs.
A publication with black and white engravings of an English artist, landscape painter and portraitist of the 19th century Henry Courtney Seluz. Fascinated by Shakespeare"s work and English history, the artist illustrated almost all the playwright"s plays. The text translated by B. L. Pasternak is published according to the publication in 1983 at the Pravda Publishing House.
The book was published in the series "W.S.", in which the works of William Shakespeare come out.
