The famous German romantic Ernst, Theodore Hoffmann, considered the everyday views of the cat Murr one of his best works. The narrative in this novel is conducted on behalf of the scientist Kot, but it is sometimes interrupted by fragments of the biography of the captain of the cruisler. Modern readers will find a caustic satire in this book, and sparkling humor, and philosophical thoughts about life. The text of the novel is given in the translation of M. A. Beketova edited by Z. A. Vershinina. The publication is decorated with the drawings of two German artists - Ernst Liebermann and Wallenstein. North of Germany, in the old town of Bamberg in the square in front of the local theater there is an unusual monument. A man in a hat with a tall tulle with one hand holds sheets of the manuscript in his hand, and holds the second on his shoulder of a well -fed cat. Fans of the work of Ernst Theodore Amadeus Hoffmann, not without reason, believe that this German cat is more famous than the boots of his French fellow pride. Hoffmann began to write the “everyday views of the Cat Murra” in 1819. Work on the second volume of this unusual dilogy soon began, but Murr himself did not live to publish his memoirs. He died in November 1820 at the age of only four years. At the end of his essay with a regret, Hoffmann reported on the death of this rational, highly educational, philosophical and poetic cat. The writer allegedly written on his behalf, the writer later considered one of the heights of his work. In this satirical novel, which in this publication is decorated with drawings by German artists Ernst Libermann and Wallenstein, the beloved cat of love adventures, embarks on philosophical reasoning about life about life about life And he is engaged in poem. At the same time, the biography of the talented composer Johannes Kreisler is printed on the draft sheets of the cat manuscript, and the fragments of his biography from time to time interrupt the revelation of Murr. Kreisler at Hoffmann wanders from one princely court to another, in order to stretch out the thread of his existence longer. There is a lot of autobiographical in this image, because almost his whole life Hoffmann tried to leave with the legal service that was hated by him, which, nevertheless, gave him a livelihood. For many years, Hoffmann led a double life. In the afternoon, he wore the boring existence of a burgher who was forced to go into presence, and in the evenings and at night splashed fantastic stories on paper, which circled in his head. It is not by chance that Kreisler is a musician, because the Hoffmann in his youth was a student of the organist, and later he became a conductor and composed music himself, including the church. The monitor Hoffmann was installed in Bamberg not by chance. It was in this city in 1808 that the writer served as a capmerist at the local theater. In it, he tried himself as a decorator, playwright and director, but fate stubbornly did not allow Hoffmann to become a free artist and get rid of the need to pull his official strap. Only at the end of his life, becoming a famous writer, Hoffmann found long -awaited freedom. The writer"s health undermined intense existence. He passed away early, having died in 1822 at the age of forty -six
