Jack London, a classic of American and world literature, is known primarily as the author of adventure works. His novels and the story of fascinating and risky wanderings, of strong, purposeful and noble people are still successful with readers. In many ways, Jack London’s work is autobiographical: a lot of tests and deprivations fell to his lot, he changed many professions: he was a gold minister, sailor, journalist ... He frankly shared the facts of his own biography, in particular in the famous story, John Barley Grain and In the cycle of essays "Road". "John Barley Grain" (1913) is a bitter and merciless confession telling about the writer"s addiction to alcohol at different stages of life, from childhood to adulthood. In the “Road "cycle” (1907), Jack London talks about his youth when he vagrant in America and even went to jail for it. Confessing to autobiographical works in unpleasant actions, he at the same time suggests that this life experience was non -predicted, but taught him to better understand human nature
