"Jacques" and "Acceleration" are two historical novels of the great French writer Aurora Dupin, who had been hiding George Sand hiding under the pseudonym. In the novel "Jacques", as in most of his works, the author raises the "female question", criticizing the institution of marriage, based on the enslavement of a woman and legalized hypocrisy. The main character of the novel, in fact, is the ethical ideal of Georges Sand, seeking to realize the principles of humanism, a new understanding of love, marriage and friendship, based on the freedom and naturalness of human relations.
Roman "Acceleration", according to the author’s plan, is based on the eastern poems of Byron - "Lara" and "Korsar". In the prologue, the author declares his intention to tell the true story of a corsar, more corresponding to historical truth than the poetic inventions of Byron
