Margaret Mitchell (1900 - 1949) is an American writer, author of the novel “Doned by the Wind”, published in 1936 and received the Pulitzer Prize. The book was incredible success among readers, and the film adaptation with Vivien Lee and Clark Gabel in the lead roles won eight Academy Awards and became one of the most famous tapes in the history of world cinema. The daughter of a wealthy owner of plantations in Georgia, whose carefree youth ceases with the outbreak of civil war. In an instant, the girl had to grow up: the mother died, her father is sick, and the Yankee’s native estate was plundered.
