Gustav Mayrink and Franz Kafka are the most striking representatives of the so -called Prague Literary School. But if Kafka during his lifetime was known only to a narrow circle of connoisseurs, then the glory of the Mayric thundered throughout Europe. And after the publication of the novel, “Golem” went far beyond its borders. His books were read out (and are still read out) both lovers of lightweight “horror literature” and refined intellectuals, finding numerous allusions in the texts of Mayric and slyly hidden truths of ancient mystical teachings.
The present edition included the three most famous novels of the master of mystical prose: “Golem”, “Walpurga Night” and “The Angel of the Western Window”, the most significant of all the works of Mayric, conceived by him as the result of all creativity
