“Golem” is the first novel of the Austrian writer -expressionist Gustav Mayric. The author studied occultism and theosophy, was interested in oriental practices. There were rumors about the Mayinka that he was an alchemist - he willingly supported this myth. The extensive experience of studying Kabbalah and spiritualism was most clearly manifested in his first novel "Golem", which became one of the most famous mystical works.
The mysterious Prague of the beginning of the XIX century. The nameless narrator finds a hat, inside which the owner’s name is indicated - Atanasius Perenat. After that, he sees dreams about this man. Reality and dream merge together and the narrator goes in search of a feathery and finds out: everything he saw was actually many years ago. But who is this feathery? Restorer or the embodiment of a clay golem from an old legend?
