Walter MAP (1130/1135-1209/1210) - English clergyman and writer, was surrounded by the king of England Henry II Plantagenet, whose courtyard in the second half of the XII century was an important cultural and literary center of Western Europe.
MAP played a significant role in the intellectual environment of the English kingdom and, in his lifetime, enjoyed the reputation of a witty among contemporaries.
