“Four sides of the heart” is the last novel by Francoise Sagan, who died in 2004. Her son Denis Westkhoff discovered a typewritten copy of the writer dotted with inserts and amendments. This is a novel written in a free relaxed manner, with amazing skill and attention to human passions. The intellect inherent in the writer, the sense of humor and the grace of style allowed her to convey the dramatic ups and downs of the plot in such a lively and concise manner that the reader enjoys, plunging into the atmosphere of this incomplete and thereby exciting the narrative.
The son of the wealthy industrialist Louis K peaks, recovering from the consequences of a car accident, is surprised to realize that the family is looking at him with cautiously, as a nervous, and the beloved wife of Mari-Lor completely despises him. The situation changes when the beauty Fanny arrives from Paris, the mother of Marie-Lor. To convince everyone of the recovery of Louis, the peasants start a magnificent reception on their estate, and the passions meanwhile are heating up
