Ernest Hemingway (1899-1961) is one of the most popular and influential American writers of the twentieth century, which gained fame, on the one hand, with his novels and stories, on the other, a life full of adventure and surprises. Hemingway"s literary reputation is based on the style of his prose, which he honed with great care.
In his first novel, “Fiesta (and the Sun)” Hemingway illuminates the problems and pain of the lost generation, intertwining love and loss after the First World War. History talks about emigrants living in Paris of the 1920s: Jake Barnes-a veteran and journalist and Brett Ashley-an Englishwoman, a socialite. Together with the heroes, we travel from the stormy nightlife of Paris to the ruthless arenas of Corrida of Spain, plunging into the atmosphere of the spiritual decomposition of society, moral bankruptcy and ghostly illusions.
Vyshny waters is one of Hemingway"s early novels. Spring comes to the small towns of Michigan, and the snow still covers the earth when the Skripps O"Nele goes to Chicago, but decides on the road to stop in petitions and meets with yoga Johnson. Fanting stories are waiting for them, the characters they meet are absurd, but at the same time they are familiar to each of us. A short, dynamic story parodies the style and ridicules the images of the heroes from the novel “The Gloomy Laughter” of the American writer Sherwood Anderson
