Medieval alchemist and warlock Dr. Faust sold his soul to the devil in pursuit of knowledge and pleasures - this is the plot of the German legend that Goethe laid the basis of the Faust tragedy. His tragedy is about the strength of the human spirit, the desire to comprehend the secrets of the universe, mistakes on the life path, doubts and tireless searches contrary to all difficulties. Goethe created a multifaceted work in which antiquity, the Middle Ages and New Time are interwoven, different views on the place of man in the world are faced, debate about the development of art is underway, philosophical and religious issues are raised, so everyone will find what will be interesting to him in Faust.
