Jane Osten is rightfully considered the first lady of English literature. Her works are required for study in all colleges and universities of Great Britain. Her books are recognized masterpieces and conquer the sincerity and simplicity of the plot. "Emma" is the most caustic, the most accurate and sarcastic of the works of the writer, it is the last one that saw the light during her lifetime.
This story is quite atypical: the heroine is not poor, she has everything - a good house, a loving father, a condition, there is only a husband. But she is in no hurry to marry, preferring to arrange the fate of her friends and acquaintances and thereby sometimes getting into trouble.
