The collection of the famous American writer Thomas Clayton Wolf (1900-1938) included two works from his only lifetime publication of short prose "from death to morning".
Tales" Water Water "(1932), built as a monologue of the mother, addressed to her son, and" Death is a proud sister "(1935) - about" proud death, severe loneliness and great dream, in fact, they talk about One and the same - about the desire and the inability to return home.
"If you try to determine in two words, what is the difference between this writer, then maybe such: literary gigantism. He wanted to accommodate all human experience in his books, or rather, the experience of one person - Thomas Wolf. The task is impossible, but it was probably closer to its solution than any of the writers of the 20th century ... Everything that the second half of the 20th century gave in literature, next to Wolf, it seems low-blooded ... "(V. Golyshev)
The design used a fragment of the picture of Rene Magrit "Memory"
