The early novel "Days in Burma" of the English writer George Orwell, most famous for his unsurpassed anti -utopias "1984" and "Castard", are largely autobiographical: the author lived in this country and served a colonial police officer. Orwell is merciless in the description of the life of British subjects in a colonized Burma - "Testless, Severe peace, the world, where the thought itself is under censorship." For all the difference in the characters and addictions of the English colonists, one is united by one - an unshakable sense of superiority over the natives, which they despise at best
