The anthology prepared by the famous orientalist and translator of Japanese poetry Alexander Dolin includes the classic works of the famous poets of the XVII-early 19th century, such as Matsuo Basyo, Yosa-Nah Busu, Ihar Saykaku, Kamo Mabuti, Ozava Roan, Ryan, Okum Kotomiti, paradise Sanju and many others, whose poems are included in the Golden Fund of Japanese and world literature, as well as colorful examples of humorous poetry and folklore of “funny quarters”.
