The modern classification of pesticides used in the protection of agricultural plants from pests, diseases and weeds is given. In modern interpretation, the basics of agronomic toxicology, the influence of pesticides on the environment and the main directions of increasing the environmental safety of the use of chemical plant protection in integrated systems, sanitary-hygienic and physicochemical foundations of the use of pesticides are presented.
