There are books simply doomed to success. "Moths" Henri Sharir - either a fantastic variation on the topic of autobiography, or a genuine story - became a bestseller immediately after publication in 1969: about 10 million copies were printed in three years, and filmmakers rival the right to transfer it to a large screen. Henri Sharir, nicknamed Moth (Papiion) at the age of 25, was accused of murder, sentenced to life imprisonment, and so the most amazing of his adventures began. In hard labor in French Guiana, he went through incredible trials, more than once in the balance of death, but the survival instinct and indomitable freedom of love helped him in the end to be in the wild. In 1973, American director Franklin J. Sheffner filmed Motylka (in roles by Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman) - now this film was rightfully counted for the classics of cinema - and in 2017 Michael Noer shot a remake with Charlie Hannem and Rami Maleko
