Archibald Joseph Kronin (1896-1981) was born in Scotland, graduated from the University of Glasgow, worked as a doctor in South Wales and London. But his true vocation was literature, which he devoted himself after the deafening success of his first novel "Brody Castle". From other books by A. Kronin, the most famous are "stars look down", "Citadel", "Young years", "Way of Shannon", "Keys of the Kingdom", "Monument to the Crusader", "Three Loves".
The brightest novels belong to the number of bestsellers who are dispersed by huge circulations around the world, based on Croin"s works, more than 30 adaptations have been created.
