The collection included the author’s fairy tales of Joseph Koshin, the story of Galina Artemyeva and fairy tales recorded by the German writer of the 17th century Paul Praetorius. The idea of creating a book came to its compiler Galina Artemyeva in Prague, while honoring the release of her other book "Great Collection of Traditions, Myths, and Tales of the Western Slavs".
At the heart of Joseph Koshin’s fairy tales are folk plots, but he is a full -fledged author of his tales. They were extremely popular among several generations of Czech readers. In Russia, these fairy tales are published for the first time. "Student in anticipation of a miracle, or life in the house of Dr. Faust" - the author’s story of the compiler, G.M. Artemyeva, it is based on the Old Proopper legends and legends about the famous Dr. Faust and the fate of his house. The third section of the collection is occupied by fairy tales about the spirit of the Ryubetsal Mountains, collected by Paul Poli.
