Theoretical aspects of the influence of hydrometeorological factors on the growth, development and productivity of agricultural crops are set out. The essence of hydrometeorological phenomena and ways to protect against them is shown. Climate assessment methods from the standpoint of general and private agroclimatic zoning based on meso- and microclimatic studies are considered. Examples of agroclimatic substantiation of agricultural and agromeliorative techniques in agricultural production are given.
In the present, third, publication, a section is presented on the global change in the climate of the Earth and scenarios of possible environmental consequences for the agriculture of Russia. The issue of using geoinformation systems in agricultural production is considered. The geography of examples of private agroclimatic zoning has been expanded. Questions and tasks for chapters are processed and supplemented.
