"The Adventures of Oliver Twista" is one of the most piercing novels by Charles Dickens. The story of an orphan boy, who seems to have only a fate of a humble hungry poor man, passing his life path under a hail of blows and slap in the face, despised by everyone and nowhere to meet pity, is told by the author with genuine realism and love for his main character. The small but brave Oliver falls as many trials and dangers as not every adult heart can endure. The injustice and lawlessness, cruelty and indifference, scammers, bastards and notorious villains - that’s what Oliver has to face before the boy finds out that the world around the world has a place for human kindness and nobility, and finds a family.
