This Roman Charles Dickens (1812-1870) fell in love with readers for many reasons. The author managed to show the life of the whole English society, depicting an artistic cut from gloomy slums to the luxurious mansions of London. How not to sympathize with an angel-like orphan boy, to whom evil is organically suffering? And the evil in the guise of ugly villains here is plenty of.
The novel was repeatedly filmed, and on Broadword and in London there were musicals for this work with great success
