This book is the new edition of the "Adventures of Baron Munchausen". It is printed according to the French publication Charles Furnal (1794-1859), to which Gustave Dore in 1872 created a cycle of illustrations, which included 118 drawings in the text and 29 separate strip illustrations. The text is given in the translation of E.I. Peskovskaya, which she created for the publication of M.O. Wolf, who saw the light in 1889 and then repeatedly reprinted. This is the most accurate translation of the work of R.E. District and G.A. A burgher into Russian, and therefore the text closest to the original of the German edition of 1786. The text, delivered from the subsequent changes and layers of the XIX-XX centuries, and the complete set of Dore"s illustrations makes the real book a new, most accurate and substantial publication in modern Russia " Baron Munchausen "
