The book outlines new views on the patterns and mechanisms for the formation of age macular degeneration, its clinical picture, various stages of I development and diagnostic methods. A separate chapter highlighted an excursion to the anatomy of the Makula and the vitreous body. From modern positions, the risk factors and pathogenesis of the disease are considered. Detailed analysis of possible methods for the treatment of macular degeneration, depending on its stage, a comparative analysis of the effectiveness and safety of the use of various angiogenesis inhibitors is given.
