The publication reproduced samples of domestic trade and industrial advertising from the collection of the Russian Museum, relating to the period of its heyday, from the works of realistic manners to the exquisite MODERN Extramps, from posters in the spirit of the folk picture to formal experiments of constructivist artists. The introductory article traces the formation and stylistic evolution of the Russian advertising poster of this period. The publication also includes a study on the activities of the prominent Soviet Platter D. Bulanov and the history of the Bureau of advertising the Leningrad Department of the Municipal Economy, with whom he actively collaborated. At the end of the book are the biographies of artists
