Alla Ozornina is a contemporary writer, author of fiction and popular science books for children, winner of the Governor's Literary Prize named after M. E. Vishnyakov, winner of the International Literary Prize named after P. P. Yershov, and a member of the Writers' Union of Russia. Her new book "Adventures of New Year's Toys" includes two fairy tales: "Adventures of New Year's Toys" and "Koschei the Immortal and the Angel with Sticking Out Ears." The toys hung on the Christmas tree and dreamed of showing off to the children, to show how new and shiny they were. Suddenly, strange creatures appeared on the tree. They seemed like toys too, but too ancient - cotton, glass, a bit scary. The modern toys didn't like their new neighbors, and they tried to get rid of them. But not always is new and shiny better than old and reliable. Dasha Svinikina, the heroine of the second story, is an angel in disguise. All the educators dreamed of getting a sweet girl like her in their group until her first day at the kindergarten. The angel turned out to be a capricious girl with a very loud voice. The kindergarten workers are waiting for the end of the year to say goodbye to the girl, while Koschei the Immortal is eager to claim the child for himself. After all, not only the educators, but also the ghosts are afraid of children's screams. Illustrated by Maria Ryazantseva. For elementary school age.
