The work analyzes the concept of "corruption", and also considered measures to counteract this phenomenon. The decree of the President of the Russian Federation is considered, which approved a national plan for combating corruption, which gave a new impetus to the development of legal mechanisms for eradicating this negative phenomenon, and legislative acts aimed at combating corruption in the field of executive branch, and a comparative analysis of the Russian regulatory framework with the legislative acts of the Council is carried out Europe. A detailed legal analysis of the legal norms contained in legislative acts aimed at ensuring control over the decosure of civil servants to commit corruption offenses, and during the analysis, recommendations are given to improve the current legislation in this area and overcoming the spaces existing in it at present. The work considers mechanisms for resolving a conflict of interests in the state and municipal service as a measure that counteracts the commission of corruption offenses, analyzes the normative material in this area and make proposals on the legislative execution of changes proposed by the authors. A significant part of the work is devoted to one of the basic anti -corruption duties of civil servants to provide information on income and property, a study of the norms of the Federal Law “On the Fundamentals of the State Civil Service” is carried out, proposals for improving this control mechanism are also given.
