The main task of this study manual is a systematic presentation and explanation of new sufficiently complex concepts and ideas of the theory of reception and processing in the absence of a complete statistical description of signals and interference, i.e., under a priori uncertainty.
Algorithms for detecting and distinguishing signals are described under the action of noise with Gaussian and some non-geouss distributions. Simple and practical important model distributions of noise, synthesis and analysis of the characteristics of detectors with an adaptive threshold are considered with unknown noise distribution parameters. The simulation programs of random fields and the object detection programs on the images are in the background of noise in the MATLAB environment.
