Sigmund Freud (1856–1939) was a famous physician and psychiatrist, the creator of the theory of psychoanalysis, whose name is known even to those who have never read his works. At the time, Sigmund Freud's idea about the influence of the sexual instinct on the psyche and the development of human society had the effect of an exploding bomb. The theory of the unconscious, which affects all our actions and behaviors, and of sexual desire as the main driving force of individual personality and society as a whole, continues to provoke debates in the scientific community to this day. However, it is impossible to deny that Freud's teachings on psychoanalysis have made an invaluable contribution to the development of global psychology. The collection includes works reflecting a wide range of the author's interests: "The Motive of the Choice of a Casket," "On the Acquisition of Fire," "Fairy Tale Plots in Dreams," "The Devil's Neurosis in the Seventeenth Century," and others.
