Nikita Filatov (b. 1961) is a Russian writer and lawyer, formerly a participant in Arctic expeditions and an operative in the Ministry of Internal Affairs. He is the author of over forty detective works with a circulation of up to a million copies, his works have been translated into several world languages and adapted into the popular series 'Deadly Force'. He is a member of the International Association of Detective Genre Writers (AIEP), the founder of the St. Petersburg Detective Club, and a laureate of Russian and international literary awards.
"Romance with Blok" is a historical detective novel, a continuation of a series of works about the relationship between a writer and authority in Russian history, which already includes books about Fyodor Tyutchev and Alexander Kuprin. The novel is set during the period of the 1917 Revolution and the Russian Civil War, with characters including political figures, revolutionaries, and the Russian creative elite of the time: writers, poets, and artists, including the main character of the novel - Alexander Blok.
