Batyushki stories about their simple and difficult heroes are full of sympathy and genuine optimism. He loves those who speak, even if their actions, to put it mildly, are far from ideal. The good irony, with which the Father Vladimir describes the exciting events around us, helps the reader to feel sympathy and compassion for these heroes. And even the tragic moments described in the book, which, alas, inevitably accompany the earthly existence of each person, do not leave the reader of the oppressive feeling. Indeed, in any such story there remains space for hope for the benefit of God
