The collection includes the best poems, fairy tales, and stories by writers and poets of the 20th century, as well as fairy tales from different nations illustrated by Erika Bulatova and Oleg Vasiliev - outstanding artists who have created an unparalleled creative tandem. Over the years of working together, the artists have illustrated over a hundred books for children, changing themes and drawing styles. E. Bulatov and O. Vasiliev designed books by A. Barto and V. Berestov, V. Kataev and G. Tsiferov, E. Moshkovskaya and M. Boroditskaya, Boris Zakhoder and E. Permyak. The collection includes not only their most famous works but also drawings that have not been published for decades. For example, illustrations for V. Berestov's fairy tales are being published for the first time since 1966, for T. Belozyorov's poems - since 1984, and for the Russian folk tale "The Little Cockerel and the Bean Seed" - since 1988.
